Jewelia
Jewelia was the first Fairytopia dolls to catch my eye, though yet the last one to be bought. I was won over by her transparent glowing body and found it quite original. She's very special. I don't usually buy dolls who smile openly, showing their teeth, but she's one of few exeptions. I really like her hairstyle, that's very cute, and the way her eyebrows color matches the colour of her hair. Though her hair had posed some kind of problem. On coming out of the box, it was too heavily gelled. Maybe, that's good for children who make doll's hair look messy very soon, but being an adult copllector, I prefer doll's hair to be soft and pleasant to touch. So I had to comb it and wash it thoroughly. Now it's OK.
I often face such problems with Barbies.
Jewelia's arms and legs are made of hard plastic and seem to be quite fragile. Legs are not bendable at all. That's true, her wings don't stay on well - I took them off at all and she's sitting on my shelf wingless, also because they don't let her sit well, overweighting her. The boots don't stay on either, but that's because her legs are hard. I tried them on another Barbie with regular bendable legs and they stayed on rather well. As for the outfit, I didn't find it difficult to put it on and off at all. Maybe, for a child of 3 - but not for adult. And it doesn't come off.
They way she glows is rather weird. She has red lights in her thighs and yellow in her belly. It would certainly look better if the colours were blue and lilac.
But overall, to me she's one of absolute favourites. Very, very outstanding
Great choice
My granddaughter wanted a barbie for Christmas, she is also into fairies. When she received this she started to cry she was so happy. She takes it with her everywhere. She is 3 so you know that it is durable to withstand a 3 year old. All in all this is a very good product.

I have this doll still in the box and never took her out its really cool when she glows with the lights off she is the best!! her hair and clothes are fairy pretty! now i'm going to get crystal!
